In all cases, Monogram strips (and imprint
blocks) are rare. No examples exist for most
positions. This is quite extraordinary / unexplained. These items are rarer that
the bicolours.

Shades of brown varying to dull brown.
One printing in 1917 is exceedingly scarce, and was in a bright red
brown. The bulk of this printing was overprinted for use in New Guinea,
which accounts for its scarcity as an Australian issue. It is practically
unknown mint. |
