Although a continent with no civilian population is of dubious merit as a stamp issuing entity, and, the stamps are clearly philatelic in inspiration, these early pre-decimal issues do stand on their own. Especially if viewed as being (as indeed they are) simply Australian stamps with a topical theme. |
