½d block of 4 the upper units both No Top to Crown; 1d Ferns & 'RA' Joined in block of 4; and 4d Weeping '4' in horizontal pair. Scarce varieties. (Qty 3 items)
Half Penny: ½d green complete forme of 30 from the upper-half of Electro 4 with varieties White Flaw on Emu's Back [1], Spot after '2' in R/H Value Tablet [2], Eight Wattles at Left [3], Retouched Shading behind Roo [7] & [28], Retouched Lower-Left Corner [26], and several others unlisted in the ACSC, a few tiny blemishes, unmounted.
Half Penny: ½d green complete forme of 30 from lower-half of Electro 4 with varieties Break in Frame at Upper-Right [33], Eight Wattles at Left [34], White Flaw above Base of Fraction Bar at Right [40], Dot before '2' at Lower-Right and several others unlisted in the ACSC, a few tiny blemishes, most units are unmounted.
One Penny: 1d carmine Die II SG 103b block of 4, a few characteristic rough perfs, unmounted, Cat £440+ (mounted).
One Penny: 1d carmine complete forme of 30 from lower-half of Pane II [31-60] with Die II units SG 103b x10, two with Recumbent Spur [50] & [56], a minor bend affects the normal units at left, most units - including nine of the Die II units - are unmounted, Cat £1110++. [Superior to Sir Gawaine Baillie's pane - described as having "light creases" - that sold for £1380 (2007)]

 

One Penny: 1d carmine Die II Substituted Cliché SG 103ba, some characteristic rough perfs, lightly mounted, Cat £700.

 

 

Four Pence: 4d orange Line through 'FOUR PENCE' SG 104a being the second unit in a block of 4, a few characteristic rough perfs, lightly mounted, Cat £800+.

 

Four Pence: 4d orange complete forme of 30 from the left-hand pane of Plate 2 [1 to 30] with Break in Left Frame at Top [7], Weeping '4' [18] plus unlisted varieties on [3], [4], [23] & [30], well centred, most units including the Weeping '4' are unmounted. Ex Dr Freidmann (Lot 589). (Qty a)

 

Five Pence: 5d brown complete forme of 30 from the right-hand pane [31 to 60] with Retouched Upper-Right Corner [59] and White Flaw on 'P' of 'PENCE' [60], well centred, a couple of minor hinge remainders otherwise most units are unmounted.
'OS': 4d orange block of 4, characteristic rough perfs, with central Rabaul cds, Cat £240+.
1915-16 King George V Issues  
½d green SG 65 complete forme of 30 from the upper-right of Electro 3 with major varieties Cracked Electro through Kangaroo's Paws & Value Tablet [9], Clubbed Fraction Bar [11] and Retouched Upper-Left Corner [19] plus overprint varieties Nick in 'I' [3], Void in 'W' [22] & Broken Stop after 'S' [26]. In addition Hollow Stops have developed on units 6 12 16 18 & 20.

1d carmine SG 67b complete forme of 30 from lower-left of Plate 1 with Saddle on Emu [36]
1d dull red SG 67a complete forme of 30 from the lower-right of Plate 2 with Substituted Clichés Die II [34] & Die I [35] - SG 67ca & 67ba - plus Thin 'G' [40] & Pregnant 'Y' [41], rough perforations characteristic of this printing. A few units including both Substituted Clichés are very lightly mounted, otherwise unmounted, Cat £2600++. Ex Dr Freidmann .

1d carmine SG 67b complete forme of 30 from the lower-right of the sheet with full margins at right & base, No Monogram, some very minor reinforcing, most units are unmounted. A rare block. Ex Colonel Harrie Evans: sold for $2750 (2001).

Only the initial supply of the KGV 1d and Kangaroo 2½d were despatched to Rabaul with the selvedge attached. Very few complete formes of either value have survived. The margins from all other formes were removed in Melbourne.

1d carmine Die II SG 67c abc strip, unmounted, Cat £400++ (mounted). Superb!
4d bright orange Line through 'FOUR PENCE' SG 70c, very lightly mounted, Cat £375.
4d bright orange Line through 'FOUR PENCE' SG 70c being the top unit in an abc strip, the bottom unit with misaligned perforations, Cat £375++. Misaligned perforations are rarely encountered in the NWPI issues.
4d chrome-yellow abc strip, the gum "suntanned", Cat £1000+. Rare.

Single-Line Perf 5d brown complete forme of 30 from the Third Setting with the bottom row being types acccbc, minor overprint varieties on units 11 23 & 30, a few hinge remainders but most units are unmounted. Very scarce. Ex Dr Freidmann.
