Comb13 Ash Imprints
Although the "Ash"
printings of the ½d were made in November, 1927, it was not until a year
later on November 28, 1928, that
these stamps were issued. They were, for the first time, perforated 13½ x 12½.

The following year, during
1929, the electros were overhauled, and many varieties corrected. The
corrections were not all made at the same time and different states of the
electros are known. Another interesting feature is that some easily seen
flaws were not corrected at all and persisted through this issue and the
next. (CofA)
Stamps of this issue were printed in a
deeper shade of orange than the preceding issue.
