In 1918, the paper changed to the experimental large multiple watermark for two years. During which time, Harrison used quad plate printing.

In late 1920, the paper reverted back to the KGV and continued into the change of colour.

One small printing on KGV paper also occurred during the reign of large multiple, and has confused philatelists ever since.
