E1 & 29 RED

In June, 1925, a completely new series of four electros was introduced At that time a move was made by the printing office to new premises, to preserve continuity of supplies, a completely new series of electros was introduced (21-24). During the move, however, it appears that the master plates were severely damaged, as the next series (June, 1926) consisted of four electros, all taken from the same forme (or set) of lead moulds. Later, in August/Sep, 1926, two old, electros were apparently discovered and a small printing made from them. E1 was resurrected by Mullet, it is probable that E29, is also of an earlier vintage that Harrison had rejected at the time.
