Coils were formed by dividing sheets into
vertical strips and joining these together by the selvedges.
BOOKLETS
Three forms of booklet are known and all are
rare. The ~1 booklet was made from complete sheets broken in half horizontally. The half
sheets were folded at the gutter and four of them were stapled through their side marginal
paper inside a thin card cover. The other two were 2/j- booklets. One contained four
blocks of six, each 2 rows of 3 and the other two blocks of six of the Georgian ½d., with
three blocks of six of the 1d. value.
