As part of the intended series, the 6d Kookaburra was issued in August
1914. Some considerable time after the KGV. The design proved so popular that it was
consistently resurrected throughout the pre-decimal era. Plate layout, numbering,
and imprint were identical to the 1d, with a total of four plates made.

The 6d kooka was used mostly on telegraph stamps and is not normally
found postally used.
